Roles & Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Business Lines (BL) and Relationship Managers (RM) to collect information prescribed by AML/ OFAC/ Local jurisdictional regulations.
- Review the accuracy of information provided with set guidelines.
- Perform background verification on individuals and entities using appropriate tools (i.e., DDIQ, Dow Jones, LexisNexis, World Check, Factiva, Internet tools, etc.)
- Conduct client due diligence/ enhanced due diligence and enrich requests for submission to the Quality Check team
- Maintain a working knowledge of AML/ OFAC/ Local regulations (e.g. US CIP) and be able to relate them to SG policies and procedures
- Update Daily MIS Report and forward it for Management Review
- Maintain sound working relationships with the BLs, RMs and other stakeholders
- Should be up to date with the latest KYC policies, procedures, and regulations, including global minimum standards and local requirements based on the location of the client
- Ability to compile email to compliance or sanctions team (if required) reflecting the potential hits found during screening
- Sound knowledge of all applications used during the process
- Ability to prioritize work and individual target and route all additional ad-hoc requests from the onshore team to the Cell Manager before taking any action
- As an analyst/QC -you are expected to take end to end (outreach to Profile Completion) ownership of each file handled as part of Onboarding.
- Participate and contribute to meetings with Onshore and Offshore meetings.
- Be on top of Market & Industry Intelligence to identify the next big opportunities for us to build out centers of excellence around
- Prioritize ideas across the organization to crystallize into precise opportunities
- Business analysis to create business cases and value propositions to influence senior stakeholders
- Proof of concepts to deliver on value identified
- Be part of the core team to incubate and build out new centers of excellence
- Program manage and drive scaling up of the identified capabilities
Key Skills preferred:
- Strategic thinking and ability to balance strategy with execution
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Broad understanding of financial services industry
- Broad Business and Technology acumen
- Strong articulation skills that would allow engagement with senior global stakeholders
- Independent go-getter with a flair for entrepreneurship
